A Conversation for Yo-Yos

Is it just me or are those so called "brain" yo yo's are nothing more then a lazy man's way to doing something that use to take skill. Kids (who are buying them en masse) complain about Duncans cause they actually have to do something to make them work. They say "Duncan's suck, you can't do any tricks on them!!" when in reality it should be "I'm lazy and can't figure it out. Wahhhh!!!"

More to the point, what is a "Brain", or a "Duncan"? Presumably not a lump of grey, squidgy matter on the end of a string, or an old TV presenter in green and white checks.

"Brain" yo-yo's are yo-yo's that have an device within them that makes the yo-yo go back up by itself after so many spins. A Duncan is pretty much the only brand of yo-yo's that offers standard yo-yo's without brains.

"brain" sounds cool, never run into it.

Though, I still think the Russel yo-yo's are great.
I still have the t-shirt with the text "Always fun with Russel yo-yo's and Coca Cola"....
Just plain yo-yo's...a bit heavy, nice to bang into peoples' heads. smiley - smiley

I don't know about Russel nowadays, but the "Diablo" look exactly the same.

Whatever happened to Russels? All I see anymore is Duncan and Yomega (the first people to let "brain" yo-yo's out of the gate)

Before you explode with the urge to know, The Oreo, from someone who doesn't know very much about them smiley - smiley
An Oreo is an American biscuity thing. A bit like a Bourbon Cream, but with plain cream (I think) in the middle, and round. Come to think of it, more like a Jammie Dodger with cream.
I have never actually had one. This is due to the conflicting information I have heard. Americans think the sun shines out of it's creamy centre, while most Brits who have tried reckon it is okay, if there is nothing else to hand. I believe there may be a chocolate version, but the chocolate is not that good apparently.

And for my next display of useless Trivia, Italian Communists smiley - bigeyes
