A Conversation for Chocolate

I don't recall what I originally contributed to this but you were right to peg me as a chocophile so I'll offer another choccy fact in keeping with my bonkers "science rocks" spin on life...
- The reason that eating chocolate makes you "feel good" is that it contains chemicals that stimulate the release of seratonin in the brain (a neuro-transmitter responsible for euphoria).

other types of 'derma-confectionary' ".

The shop in Belgium is called "Leonidas" and there's a whole chain of them all across the country.
Imagine that, a chain of chocolate stores!!

Astrogoth Posted Sep 28, 1999
It's true. I've had Leonidas chocolate, and I swear it IS almost better than sex...

an entry entitled "Chocolate".
Yeah right, nice to get my name in print, but when did two lines about bourbon creams coonstitute a basis see the real reason on my page [hmmph]

At least you got your name in print... I think you could do with some of that chocolate mentioned above!

I went to Belgium for 5 months on exchange last year, and when I left I bought 15 boxes of Leonidas with me to "give to friends".
(Un)fortunately, htey never left my house, and I've been working my way through them - despite the sign on the box that says "the quality of these chocolates cannot be garunteed after 8 days".

Gag Halfrunt Posted Sep 29, 1999
Call me a sad person with too much time on my hands thinking too much about a h2g2 conspiracy but i've been doing some reaserch of my own (God forbid) And It seems the Editor rather then the researchers has done the reaserch, they think we'll keep silent because we're in print?!
What is the crack John-the-gardener????
I aim to please.
Bluebottle Posted Sep 29, 1999
Okay, you're a sad person with too much time on your hands thinking too much about a h2g2 conspiracy.
Can we get back to the subject of chocolate? I'm hungry.
AND ANOTHER THING

The 'crack' is that this article is an on-going project, to which more will be added over time. True, in this case, a significant amount was written by me (I am, after all, a Researcher like the other contributors), because there was surprisingly little original material about chocolate (your research should substantiate this), considering the number of times it has been mentioned in forum postings.
Regarding your Entry on bourbon creams, rest assured that it will be reviewed in due course in its entirety. It is unfortunate that the e-mail notification you received created the impression that the rest of the article had been rejected; that is certainly not the case. I understand why were upset.
Regarding an h2g2 conspiracy: isn't that wearing rather thin?
