I seem to remember that someone got rich by calling it tension sheet and selling it to stressed people. Hmmm -- probably fictional. Red Dwarf?

Yep, it was Red Dwarf - someone Rimmer went to school with. Then Rimmer went back in time and stole the idea, and also Lister. In the end everything went pretty much back to normal except Rimmer came back to life for a few seconds before exploding.
I'm saved from being a complete Red Dwarf nerd by having absolutely no idea which series, let along which episode, this came from!

The series III DVDs just came out...
That would be from "Timeslides" and the kid Rimmer went to boarding school with and later invented Tension Sheets was "Thicky" Holden!
Koo Stark played the supermodel Jjones woman that Lister (and Holden in his time line) was married to.
