No problems with this.
I get confused between English Nature and Natural England - I'm sure you know which part of this quango runs the show.
Again, I've paraphrased from this section of the AA book, in case there's anything else you think it needs - most of it you've covered.
***
Seaton: Large round pebbles near the mouth of the river Axe are exported as far afield as New Zealand for paint blending and rubber processing. The 1877 bridge was one of the first to be built of concrete, as was the house built at the eastern end of it.
Axmouth: During Roman times was the sea terminus for the Fosse Way. Was a flourishing port in Norman times. The estuary used to be a sheltered stretch of water 4 miles long, but 800 years ago a massive landslide on the east bank made it into a narrow river. Ever since, the shingle bank at the mouth of the river has risen, sealing off the harbour.
Dowlands Cliffs: Great landslide in 1839 opened up a chasm half a mile long and 400 feet wide, now part of the nature reserve, a 5-mile coastal strip covering 800 acres. Further small landslips occur each year and the path through the reserve is often slippery and treacherous. Badgers, nightingales, lizards, 400 species of wild flowers.

Thanbks again, Icy
Natural England is the new name for English Nature, which ceased to exist a fortnight ago. DEFRA has been merged with it, and the new politics of the organisation are a little concerning for conservationists - we'll have to see what happens there, but that's another story!

The tramway is quite a pleasant ride, and makes a different day out, lot of rare birds I'm told on the marshes, but I'm not Bill Oddy so I can't give you any details.
The river used to be navigable all the way to Colyton, but its strange to find a quay so far inland. (My memory may be failing me here, but if its not Colyton, it's somewhere nearby, and I don't have access to my maps.)

Thank McKay! The tramway doesn't actually run along the coast, I only mentioned it as a point of interest as it is sometime visible from the path. I'd like to flesh out some of the towns en route over the winter when walking is less pleasant, and Seaton is one on the 'possible' list

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
