A Conversation for Queuing
Waste of time

If only people could be more co-operative and do something constructive until they are called that it is their turn - so they can go away for a bit, as opposed to competing with each other for a good place in the que by getting there early on, much less time would be wasted. This is a prime example of co-operation being better than competition.

A Cornish queue is not a waste of time, but rather a social occasion. It provides the opportunity to catch up on local news and gossip.Complete strangers can join in discussions and 'put the world to rights'.
If you see people impatiently tapping their feet and muttering under their breath - then you know that they are not Cornish and they will be discreetly ignored.
Are there other regional differences in queuing?
