Whoops! big slip ups. Thanks for pointing it out Guy. Don't know what I was thinking of and I must have read it a hundred times.
Question is, can Spartus help at this stage to rewrite that bit or can I do it now.??
Sorry!

It happens. Nothing to worry about. Actually, because I was paranoid of other mistakes, I found a little one in another one, too.

And I just noticed that, in my keenness to point out that Benares is now called Varanasi (fantastic place, by the way) I sucked out one of Benares' e's. Fixed it now: good job we're not on a print schedule.

St Anne's Well, in Caversham, named after the local saint. Another ornate well head, said to dispense "healing waters". Though these days the galloping runs would be more likely.

Hi Zeco, Sorry for the delay in answering but your 'post' doesn't come up on my front page for some reason so I don't get to see it unless I happen to go into that entry..
Anyhow, thanks for the info. The well sounds interesting. As I collect 'odd/interesting ' places for a competition that I help to organise I'd be gratful if you could tell me it's location and if it's accessable by road?
Thanks for dropping by, all the best A.M.
