It is in black and white but I don't think that matters.

Having now watched all episodes this guide entry got the ending wrong;
"The series ends on a cliffhanger, with one of the living rocks hissing 'The light!' as the children make their dash for freedom."
That is the end of part one of episode six, at the end Marianne is on holiday with her parents. She is sitting on some steps drawing when a group of boys cycle past, one boy falls of his bike and she goes to help him up.
The boy is Mark but he gives no sign that he recognises Marianne and cycles off to catch up with his friends.
