Whilst my grass is certainly not ornamental, rather functional, it still requires mowing. Did, that is , until I discovered the delights of guinea pigs. These simple creatures can keep a small lawn "mowed " and manured very efficiently by moving there small run around the lawn on a daily basis. They are energy saving and environmentally friendly. Now, wheres my cup of tea and fairy cake?......

Same here! Our two (Laa-laa and Po to their friends) would make our Flymo into an ornament were it not for two restrictions:
Guinea pigs don't seem too fussed about clover, so we're getting a nice takeover of our lawn by clover at the expense of grass.
Our terrier has discovered the delights of guinea pigs: All access by the rodents to the lawn has to be supervised!
