In "Fathers day" the monsters were called "Reapers"
did they not apear in an episode from the classic series'??
I dimly remember something similar from my child hood in a Dr Who book of monsters.
any help??

No, they're new to the new series. There were other flying creatures - the Chronovores in 'The Time Monster' but they were different in two major ways. Firstly, they weren't bothered about fixing timelines, they just ate time; and secondly, they were rubbish.
