A Conversation for 'After Eight' Chocolate Mints

Nice entry on a popular sweet!
I wanted to share a dessert that was very popular in Sweden in the '70s:
For each person, place a preserved pear halve flat side down on an ovenproof dish.
Place an after eight on top.
Melt in oven at a sensible temperature, until done. (I can't actually remember times or temperatures that well, and am lousy at Fahrenheits)
Whipped cream might be nice with it. The pears come in tins, in syrup.
