A Conversation for Friends and Friendship

I find it extremely difficult to make friends.
I find that I'm always doubting whether they're a true friend or not. I second guess what people are thinking about me and always guess the wrong option.
I find it also difficult to keep in contact with friends. Mainly because I worry that I outstay my welcome.
I also think that I'm too much for some people so won't go out at night with any of them for fear of making a complete and utter fool of myself.

For what it's worth, that's not how you come across to me, VV
We've never met, but you are one of the people I'd *love* to meet, in the flesh as it were. Not everyone appeals to me that way.
I won't go out at night because I'm worried people either look at me and wonder what an old woman is doing out - or they look right through me to someone half my age.
We all have worries, I worry I'll spend the rest of my life alone, but I won't make the effort to find a partner. I'm too scared he'll be a freeloader/user, I've not had much luck with men. A vicious circle

I think then perhaps once everything has settled down, we can arrange for you to come up and stay with us for a few days
There won't be owt special, but you're so more than welcome at our house.
Also, if you ever feel the need to phone me, just e-mail either me or mum and we will return my home number to you so we can just talk.
Thinking of you Annie
