Anitmagic is not the same as normal magic... for instance if you cast a fire spell in here it is more likely that your opponent will be encased in ice... a healing spell will have the same effect as poison and vice versa, some magic will not work against the opponent at all, indeed spells like petrifaction will work against the caster instead of the one who it was aimed at.
