Nick, the herbs are still the sort which grows by the wayside or in any herb garden, so very simplistic, I'd say, but maybe they just don't grow in Canada ?

There are only 3 that I don't recognize by name. And then perhaps 3 that we'd normally have in our kitchen. We generally cook with a minimum of spice and seasonings, enjoying the original flavours of meats and veggies. As I say, we are simplistic. How-ever, I have a brother who enjoys the city and "upper-echelon" life, who probably has no less than 3 dozen herbs, spices and such in his kitchen at any given time.

We don't have those herbs in our kitchen - we buy them fresh (not dried) especially to make the sauce -I thought that was what the entry sais

And apparently I wasn't clear either. Yes, he grows many of his own preferred. I can't even grow plastic flowers. Anyway, this is your day and thread to be proud, so I'll wander along. Once more, well done, my friend.
