They're experimenting with gentically engineering mosquitoes so that if you get bitten ten times you get immunised against a disease.
Also aren't mosquitoes an important part of the cycle of life? And what about the guilt trips you'll go through after taking the innocent life of a female who only wants to have her babies?

This isn't true. I think you must be mistaken with the only method of getting immunised against malaria: being bitten 1000 times by gamma-irradiated Anopheles.
Also, I suggest you go and mention your perspective on this problem to an African mother who has just lost her child to malaria, and who also only wants to have her children. But then of course, according to some people we're only animals ourselves and shouldn't expect any different treatment for ourselves as a species. Absolute piffle.

Flyscreens help reduce malaria, too...
Though saying that I still got malaria when I lived in Papua New Guinea

Mosquito netting treated with permethrin does a great job as long as there're no large holes in it... especially holes large enough for a tiger ("In Africa???") to get through and remove a leg.
