Bata Fish Favorite Food

I just purchased a Bata Fish or Fighting fish (Bata Splendin) and apparently its favourite food is Mosquito larva. They like to live in stagnant water, so it's a good match.
I've always thought that for every one mosquito you kill, that's a potential of thousands of mosquitoes that won't live next year. But then I start to feel bad about all those birds and bats and Bata fish and such that wouldn't have anything to eat if we didn't have Mosquitoes. Would they turn on us as an alternate source of food?

I'm sure that any birds and fish that eat mosquitoes will also eat flies and gnats. Hey, I'll breed flies and gnats in my back yard to feed the birdies and fishies if I can get rid of all the mosquitoes.
