Not sure how it is in the UK, but in Germany we have 3 rates. One for within Germany (45cents) one for within Europe (65cents) and one for Rest of World (1 euro just like a letter)

If you're sending standard sized postcards you should be able to find out from the postoffice.

Good-o. My first three all arrived too. And I have received three (2 Finland, 1 Sweden) "in return". Now I have five stuck in transit.

suprisingly rarely - I've sent over 100 and only about 5 haven't got there. And one was registered after about 200 days.

It could be that the person just hasn't got round to registering it yet.

I got one registration nearly on the 60 day mark with the apology that it had somehow landed in the paper-recycling bin and had only been spotted because it fell out while they were emptying it! smiley - laugh

I guess so especially if they have been on holiday or rl is generally just busy.

Tell me do you wait for the whole five to get to people generally before sending out any more? Oh and if two have been received will you definitely get two from other places? So many questions..do hope I don't sound too much like a police woman smiley - laugh

hehe
I usually make sure i have my maximum number of cards out at any one time (which reminds me, I have 5 waiting to be written)

And yes, it should work that for every card you have registered as "sent" (that means: the receiver has registered it) you will have one sent to you. I've got some beautiful cards, one of the best is a series of photos of a place in holland where the little girl who(se mum) sent the card. Each photo has her toy rabbit in it somewhere.

And I've had a couple from Americans who were based near here over the years - which is very strange. One even from the village where I live.

My very first card came from the UK smiley - laugh

smiley - boing I'd smiley - love to get postcards like that they sound smiley - cool Do you feature them on your wall? I'm surprised that you got some postcards from near where you lived especially your village. Did you know the person?

With Valentine's just round the corner I wonder whether this will impact on postcrossing. Did it with Christmas?

Ah the UK I know it well smiley - laugh

The people weren't still in my village - and no, I didn't know them. But it was spooky.

I have the best 24 postcards in a sort of plastic thing that hangs in my dining room - people always ask me about it.

To be honest, I can't remember if Valentine's day or Christmas had any impact on my card activities.
