I had my first "o s***" kiss last New Year's. This 17 year old (I'm 15) was at the party, which was entirely adults other than us. His father married my dad's ex-coworker, so we had met and conversed a few times before, but not anything in-depth. We seriously talked for the first time starting at about 7:30, and when midnight came... well, you get the idea. By then he had given me one of the best massages of my life, so I had a good idea of what was coming, but nothing could prepare me for that kind of synergy. We laid on that bed and snogged for what seemed like hours. Then the hostess of the party walked in on us. She took one look and said "Oh!", turned down the lights, said "Isn't that better?" and closed the door behind her. I nearly wet myself laughing at the look on his face.

Defininitely sounds like an Oh S*** kiss to me! They are lovely when they happen, aren't they?

Groundshaking. Incidentally, we've kept in touch since then. He lives about 500 miles away. About a month ago, he visited me , but then he developed last-minute morals and decided that I was too young to corrupt . As if there was anything in me left uncorrupted . Silly boy, actually made me cry.

Yeah - guys with morals are cute but...! Mind you - there should always be some ways left to corrupt, otherwise life can get very dull!

Hehehe maybe he was afraid I'd turn like him - I already remind him of himself sometimes, even though I must say I've never managed to join a gang and channel the majority of the city's cocaine... Hmm, I guess I do have some room for corruption.

I still maintain I've never had one.

I've known the girls who I would like to have an 'oh sh*t' kiss with, but it's never happened, and I've been left with giving girls 'oh sh*t' kisses of their own, which is satisfying, but not quite in the same way.

It seems that O S*** kisses are those that happen to you, and that intentionally kissing someone wouldn't have the same zap that being kissed does.

That's certainly true as far as I'm concerned.

I have had oh s**t moments for sure, and some of them have been while kissing. But I think you are right - oh s**t moments are not necessarily mutual.

There are also 'hot knife through butter' moments, and 'shard of ice in the heart' moments, and 'where did the floor go' moments.

Well, I've not really had any hot-knife-through-butter ones, though I have had a couple of ice-through-the-heart and where-did-the-floor-go ones.

I was meeting my PL at a station once, after a really seriously tough 4 weeks' of total radio silence, and realised (a) that I was shaking and (b) that the reason my legs felt odd was that I had gone, quite literally, weak at the knees.

My love-life is actually better than it has been for a while - we are at least both the same side of the equator, which counts as co-habiting for us! Plus - with the most airless and stuffiest hotel bedroom in the entire world (40+) - I now have a new benchmark for 'hot sex'!
