The swimming pool promise

The builders are now in, and over the school summer holidays the swimming pool should be being built on the grounds of the school, as part of the William de Ferrers centre.
I suppose the school will get first dibs on the use of the pool, but it is about to happen... it seems.... well there are flourescent jacketed folks doing something or other there.

I am arround, just being quiet
Article was written when the lottery had promised the money, but nobody was allowed to say anything about it untill the lottery did the anouncment otherwise they would take the money back.
It was decided that to not make it a political issue, (ie to prove that the sitting councillers had come through on their promise to get a swimming pool) it was not announced untill after the election. The concervative candidates were them free to say that the sitting candidates had got nowhere with the pool, cause if they had replied, the pool would have been cancelled. Result, 6 tory councillers.
