We've all seen the prefix 'A' to a Guide page number and we all know it's for Article, at least I think it is. We've also all seen the prefix 'U' for User, at least I hope that's what it's for. But on Friday night a new prefix entered into our lexicon of Guide Speak. 'C' came along letting us know that Categorisation has arrived.

There are three main categories, Life, The Universe and Everything. Familiar titles to all those of us who may have read a book of the same name. But they manage to neatly sum up the content of the Guide.

  • Life refers to everything to do with living. Sex, Food, Drink and Shopping.

  • The Universe take in all those things that relate to the world in which we live. Articles on topics such as Europe, Transport and Water.

  • Everything is everything else. Things like History and Politics, Architecture and Religion and Spirituality.

The introduction of this new system and the accompanying browsing tool thingy has really made it possible to just browse though the Guide. There are lots of great entries in there, and now at last we have an easy and efficient way of just casually wasting time reading them.

Go on, give it a whirl, it's great.

Thank you guys.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
