The h2g2 Poem

Another Year

Another year passed, more days are gone now

But there is something I need to tell thou.

The Post, it seems, has now turned five,

Another year I hope it will strive.

Happy birthday to The Post,

We all read it the most.

Poems and prose, jokes what a giggle

Making us all laugh and squiggle.

What will this next year bring?

We know not, but we shall sing

Happy birthday to The Post

And a party we shall host

For all those who make it great

When delivered right up to your gate

Never wet or ate by dogs,

The Post doesn't use up logs.

And so we see that, yet again,

It is that we be not insane

To read The Post, we are here

And hope to read another year.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
