Welcome to the soppy side of h2g2. Yes, after a certain amount of encouragement, several of the more sentimental researchers found the courage to express their thoughts through The Post.

So, without further ado, we present The Post Valentine Message Board.

To Fashion Cat

This is a sonnet for a special cat

Who's actually human every day.

Which is as well for me I hear you say

And no way can I disagree with that.

For that cat's best known as Fashion Cat.

As with these loving words I now can play

To celebrate our fourth such lover's day,

Because my ring is on her finger sat.

The diamond it shines ever brighter;

So while the roses may be red my love

And violets are blue as the sky above

The gold on the band still could be whiter

When joined by another ring of love

When wedding bells ring out through the night air.

For Master B

The evidence is plain to see,

Things ain't quite like they used to be.

Abandoned socks on the bathroom floor,

Draughts howling through the unclosed doors.

The fridge will obviously never recover,

From exciting cheeses and various other

Concoctions and mixtures, tasty and rare...

Well, I'd never have put those lentils in there!!!!

So though the house now resembles disaster,

I wish the weekends would come round much faster.

Although it is drivel, this 'rhyme' is no a jest,

It's just to send to my own special pest.
