I continue to be the cramming king!

Procrastination is not just a habit. If you work at it, it's an active part of your life. Some claim to have elevated their procrastinatorial tendencies to the stature of artwork! Art's always come easy for me.

For instance, let's say that there's a hypothetical 6 to 8 page paper due at 8 AM the next day, and a hamper of laundry that needs some urgent attention. The wise procrastinator will put the laundry into the washing machine while playing video games and typing on h2g2 so that he or she can move the laundry into the dryer by nine-thirty at night. The paper can wait until 10 o'clock.

Not doing them is not an option for a true procrastinator. They will both be done. But only at the expense of sleeping time. For that is the currency of the true crammer.

I hope you were taking notes. Quiz on Tuesday.

NYC Student - The innocent looking one =P

When I saw "active" and "procrastination" in the same sentence, my eyes glazes over and I was suddenly compelled to take a nap. It's 10:30 pm, I'm down to my last pair of underwear and my cleanest shirt's only been worn twice so far, and tomorrow only contains a business meeting with my boss and a concert, so obviously there's no need for panic. Now, if I could only get out of my seat to refill my glass...

Really? I put the laundry off to do the dishes!

I might pull that dishes trick, but at the moment I've actually been able to forcefully make it someone else's job to do dishes until they finish. And as this person's taking their time, I can honestly say that I don't just procrastinate about dishes. I get someone else to procrastinate about dishes for me.smiley - winkeye

Wish I had the option with the dishes. But I can procrastinate fairly well with the laundry. Every month or so I take it home where I can do it free (and with help) rather than pay an arm and a leg per load at the laundromat here.

Don't look at me like that! I do it between trips home (sometimes) smiley - winkeye

Well, that's definitely a plus. I solve the problem of avoiding laundry by just having a lot of clothes. I honestly think that I could wait a month before I run out of clean things. Although, eventually some of my older shirts will start to get holes in them so my waiting options may soon be compromised.
