Re: the nasty dottery auld gits who made me liable for their cancelled booking, my nasty, unfriendly office manager said today that it wasn't fair that I did all the work and got nowt out of it so I get all the commission I was due and my company will take the hit and not me!!! So I get nearly a months wages out of those 4 days of late nights

Theortically, yes... I work for a government funded agency, and it should be relatively easy to change... but it's too much effort

Actually, by the time I've been to the shops tonight, most of the ready pennies will be gone! DDD has an unsatiable thirst for green wine and I can't keep the supplies up! At €2.39 a bottle, it's killing me!!!

Portuguese Vinho Verde. It's a white wine made with unripe white grapes which makes it look a bit green and makes it ever so slightly sparkling(only a tiny bit though) It's really dry too. Not keen on it myself but DDD's taken a bit of a liking!

Unemployment vs. effort.... hmmm, jobless benefits must be better over there than they are here.

The only way I can survive on unemployment here is if I sell my car, start eating only ramen noodles, and keep the youngest home from daycare, all day long. *eek*!!!

Teri, we don't get unemployment benefits out here, being resident aliens (now that's a , I'm an !)

My boss does a bit of a tax fiddle and I get all my wages cash in hand, so I don't pay tax, and neither does he!!! D does some work stuff via the internet, in the UK, which is why we really need that broadband connection! So, he's not really a lazy sod, he just makes it sound like he is!!!!

I still have no clue as to exactly what DDD does for a living! Sounds a bit dodgy to me!
