SS has recently been de-frosting cheapo prawns in the microwave for Harry's daily treat. Intelligent little so and so now sits and watches his prawns going round and round when they have come out of that 'large white box' and when there are five pings, he knows they are ready.
Today, I am cooking sea bass for dinner; and needed to melt some butter for the sauce. So! I put it in the microwave - then began to wonder why Harry was stalking round the kitchen yelling his head off. Then the light dawned and I fell about laughing - he obviously associates the microwave with his treats; and we had to de-frost extra to get rid of the noise.

Giving the cat prawns.
He has now taught you that you can't use your microwave for other purposes than preparing prawns for him.

Hmmm, they're not daft these 's, my 2 recognise the sound of the tin that I keep their dry food in, either being moved or opened as well as the sound of the kitchen cupboard door opening. They can be sound asleep yet move that tin and they're there like a shot.

How quick a cat learns to recognise sounds etc. I miss having a cat. My last one had to be out to sleep, he was 15 and had a good life. I can't bring myself to be owned by another cat yet. Maybe when i retire and can spend more time with a cat

I would a cat but dad has said a firm 'Noooo'. It is just company and something to fuss and stroke.
Scorp, that made me . Looks like you will have to pick 'oven only' meals now just to get a bit of peace .
In the meantime I will carry on talking to my , he doesn't do anything though, just looks at me like I'm .
