Been away for a few days; and on my return I discovered that I had received an e-mail from one of my friends, which I found quite appropriate:-

"We know exactly where any untaxed car is located among the millions of cars in Britain......"
.....but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the DVLA in charge of immigration.......

I can't put the reply I'd like to, because it would be classed as racialist, but hiding along the lofts of terraced houses a number of years ago, comes to mind

Brilliant, Scorpio - what a good idea!! Mind, they have no trouble finding law abiding, working people to harass for one reason or another!!

Animal, I agree with you. But for me I don't think race comes in to it - the thing that is worrying is the sheer weight of numbers, and the other thing that worries me is the fact that most seem to be young males. Now, I suppose the PC brigade will regard that as sexist!! Can't win can we A recipe for trouble, though whatever colour, creed, nationality etc.

I've said to friends, if my life etc was in danger, within a certain country, the first ones I'd get out would be wife/kids, not me on my own.
