Well if you're really interested...I'm sure there are all sorts of websites where you can watch all sorts of creatures licking their own or others' bums.

Ed, I'm currently listening to Dylan Thomas and others, & even Sir John B included, on http://www.poetryarchive.org/poetryarchive/home.do which is far more pleasant than licking one's own xxxx hole I'd imagine.

I thought I did too. But his live recordings with an audinece ( ok - upper middle class) are quite funny. U A Fanthorpe also has plums in her mouth - but she's funny too. I don't think they take themselves quite as seriously as we take them. That's the thing. The secret.
But even so, I'd still go for Simon Armitage, Dylan Thomas, Ted Hughes & co. if you put me up against a wall and threatened to shoot me.

But UA Thanthorpe can at least write poetry!
I've nothing against plummy voices per se. If I had, I wouldn't be able to adore Decca Mitford quite so much as I do. My objection to Betjeman is that he wasn't born with plums in his mouth but stuffed them in himself.

Sorry, but when it comes to dubious sites showing plums in mouths I'm a bit of a prune.
