the pics I got are quite bad

the ones I have of us with the "badges" () are out of focus - thank goodness. Or they make my boobs look so big that you can't see anything else in the picture.

They've spent most of the day trying to convince we need to cover the top half of our bathroom in Gold Lamé. Problem is it is a really high ceiling (higher than yours! because it is right in the pointy bit of the house, and we don't have an attic)

As for the gold lamé that's not a problem, it's an *opportunity* - you needn't limit yourself to socks, you can hang up trousers! I still have some spare foil, if you want it...

actually, i have a lot of that type of thing - I'm a "basteler" and a hoarder. Not a good combination.

Your socks reminded me of a mad bar we went to in Antwerp once. The back of it was kitted out like a plane (seats in rows) but the actual seats were old cinema seats. On the ceiling, all over the whole bar (thank goodness the ceiling was high) were old pairs of jeans, each one over a pair of shop dummy legs.

Totally freaky, but brilliant too.

The chair's just from the Sperrmüll - as are all the other chairs I wanted to upholster it with leather (the seat was cracked) but couldn't find a piece of the right size in my stash

If any Gruesomes are reading this - I have plenty more ideas, you can do a surprise renovation for your mother!
