Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

I get married next week. Everything has gone to hell in a hand basket. My (for want of a better word) Bridesmaid (and chief photographer) has pulled out of my 'big day' because she can't be civil to the 'Best man'. Thanks for that.

You were always going to be there, now you're not. Talk about notice! smiley - grr

You won't ruin our day, it will be poorer without you, though.

Nothing ever goes smoothly, does it? I hope you can sort the problem of a new bridesmaid out, and that you have a lovely day smiley - smiley.

All the best.

That's awful. I'd volunteer as a replacement bridesmaid, but I doubt the bearded look is what you're going for....

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

How rubbish of her... and a pretty lame excuse as well. I, too, shall not offer to be a replacement bridesmaid... I just don't have the figure for dragging up anymore.

Well, it gets odder. She's coming now. Is still doing the photography and accepts she's been a selfish buggar.

I hope she can make it to Arbor Low...

Sounds like she was bluffing. You called her on it. Hopefully she will be suitably embarrassed and ashamed.

Odd.

Personally, I'd tell her to sod off and stop trying to make a mess of your big day.

It's all about you and if you want her to feel like crap about it, she should do.

We had no photographer in February, but put out a couple of dozen disposable cameras. Loads of people brought their own camera anyway and we have and amazing and diverse set of pictures which sum up the day better than any posed photo could do...

Oh she wasn't going to do any posed photos, anyway. I smiley - bleeping hate that. I'm wearing purple and the groom will be in a Bon Scott T shirt. It just wouldn't be the same without her, though.

I don't know what to feel, just...smiley - erm

She looked so relieved yesterday when I turned round and gave her a big beaming smile, let her lie on the sofa for a bit, took her a brew in her favourite mug (Audrey).

On a much more positive note - the kitchen has been repainted - it's green. It looks ace! smiley - smiley

Speaking as someone who has been married for four months, the house prices are actually much more important

Y'know, happiness will photograph well, no matter who takes the snaps. And I think your wedding will be brilliant!

I only had one photo of my wedding day, taken by our downstairs neighbor, who was quite relieved I'd been converted to an honest woman. smiley - rofl

Got married in a lace shirt and jeans, myself, hubby was in a madras cowboy shirt and Levis™ -- worked for us! smiley - smiley

As for the bridesmaid/friend -- silly reason to back out. Glad it sounds like her joy for you will overcome even a devoted pique at some guy she'll only have to put up with for a few hours...Good News!

It will, sc. If I can organise flowers...smiley - silly

I've got me incense, candles, rope smiley - rofl Some good friends and a stone circle. I've even got some smiley - cool wellies if the weather is inclement.

It now turns out that my eldest two will be able to attend (they were on holiday, camping, but have come home early smiley - somersault)

Anyway I've got a full, Ph Ph team - one worry out of me head! smiley - tongueout
