Right, so a vote then - even if there has been one recently and I've missed it.

So, I'm answering in ten words or lessish...

'I WANT A SCORE CARD' because I like winning and the possibility of pursuing an impossible chance of beating Icy within the next few millenia regarding the Telegram Game'. Signed DDD.

Oh, as we're still voting, I think we should have the scores, too. I hardly ever look there, but I don't really see why we shouldn't have scores when we vote anyway.

I've been deeply remiss in not voting for the last few weeks , but I would reitterate what I said before - I think the votes and scores add a dimention to telegrams which is not present in many other hootoo games.

If I make the first page of the score-sheet I will be surprised, but I like to see what others find amusing and I'd like to see the scores added up at the end of the day.

Maybe we should all vote on whether to handicap Icy! How about he only gets one go and we all get four - no I reckon he'd still win!

I was only top last year as I played it more regularly than others. I'd not be top of an average-score board.

I would like your opinions on what is the preferred format for recording results to be.

Here are some options, each could be used on a stand alone basis, in conjunction with others, or rejected completely as of no real point.

These have been collated for the first three weeks of January only:-

Weekly results: e.g. GALES:

Gives a long, exhausted sigh! (Vestboy) 7 votes.
Gales Are Lashing England Suddenly. (Scor) 7 votes.
Gnomon apparently left, everybody's sad. (B'Elana) 6 votes.
Gloom As Lending Exceeds Savings. (MMF) 5 votes.
Good American leaders emerge seldom. (PBS) 4 votes.
Grasping at long exinct straws (Vestboy) 3 votes.
Green aliens landed. Earthlings shocked. (B’El) 3
'Green Activists Love Environmental Sustainability!' (MMF) 1 votes.

Weekly combined results: e.g for GALES:
VB 10 votes.
B’El 9 votes.
Scorp 7 votes.
MMF 6 votes.

Sorry MMF - at 5:00am this is beyond me. I am more than happy to go with the flow; the first listing seemed ok to me; but any majority vote will do. You are doing a magnificent job whatever is decided - back (hopefully) into the arms of Morpheus) sure that's not the right spelling; but it is 05:07

If we want people to have the chance to catch up I think the gold, silver, bronze one works least well. If the point scores were something like 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 and so on the 7 and below lose all of their scores if you only award points to the Gold, silver and bronze.

Just to say you are doing an awesome job on this MMF! To be honest I think the best method is the one that is easiest for you. If that's the Gold Siver Bronze one go for it!

I'm away ATM but any way that's good with you is good with me. Having said that, I agree that those coming from behind (which I will openly confess includes me) have a better shot with the full-score version.
