h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

365 days, 1 year, 1745 finger prick blood tests, about 800 injections, 1 visit to A&E in the back of an ambulance, 2 crashing hypos, 3 different specialists, 1 lost set of consultation notes, 4 full blood tests, 1 person.

April 17th 2001. A bright sunny day just after a nice easter break. I remember it well, shame I wasn't in any fit state to enjoy it. Two days in hospital and a change of my life.
Since then things have been up and down. The crashing hypos came after too much drink. The junior who saw me at my first hospital clinic appointment managed to lose the notes when I next went to see them. I've seen a different specialist every time I've been to the clinic. The nurses there are good though and do know their stuff (more so than most of the doctors I think).
Of course other stuff has happened. I've quit two different jobs and I'm currently unemployed. I want to leave London. I've found someone very special to share time with and I'm enjoying it immensely. I've ended up being treated in a hyperbaric chamber for decompression illness.

It took a while but I think I've once more found myself. Who I am, what and where I want to be for the most part.

Well theres only about 4 people talking on there, that and it'd be needed for Peregrin and myself so I figured if people were going to somewhere like an Ibis or something then I might as well go there too
