Coz everyone is too happy about the prosprects of presents/ food/ alcohol to beat each other up. AS proved by christmas truces e.g WW1, Korea, there were probably some more but I know about them for definate.

I always pretend I'm not related. It keeps down the high running tensions. My family are all cricket fans and I'm the black sheep. So I'm my grandmas grandchild, not my cousins cousin.
