nope. its not working 
mostly I feel tired and broke but at least all the Xmas shopping is done
got given 'Its a Wonderful Life' for my birthday so maybe watching that tomorrow will do the trick

don't worry, not my birthday til Wednesday, but since my sister was down this weekend and it was her birthday on Sunday we had a joint celebration
went for a meal out on Saturday and had a family meal on Sunday, both were good and I ate and drank far too much
big present was a food processer that does everything including play DVDs I think 
too scared of it to try and use it yet 
for the decos, its looking a little more festive here now

its very shiny 
but it has lots of sharp whirry blades, flashing lights, and things
its very impressive and quite scary 
once I've tamed it I shall have no excuse for not doing some really fancy cooking

My brother once saw a liquidiser in a shop with the numbers on the speed setting switch clearly counting down from left to right:
