Time Marches On
I sometimes wake up in Winter at say 5:00, its dark outside, I don't know if its morning or evening, and I have to take a look at the pub opposite to tell
such are the perils of working nights, your sleep patterns and sense of time end up totally wrecked

Ahhh, I get to go out with someone who's working nights...which means that I get the dodgy sleeping patterns, without the extraordinary pay packet

I wish they had my job at night time...that'd be cool...no one around to bug me...and night rates...*sigh*...oh well, there's always the dream, right ?

Oh yes, I wouldn't go back to working days at my present job, thats for sure
Just tried to pause media player so I could note down some lyrics but managed to turn it off instead

Its that TMBG song, 'Do Not Forsake Me For I Am 1000 Years Old' (or something like that), but its not actually important, just thought it would make a good 40th birthday theme song

I'll have you know I'm going out or having people over every night next week off except 2
1 of those I'm working, the other is my actual birthday

Hi, all. Happy birthday for next week, Blackberry ! Regarding Christmas festivities, here a little something I just received from my friend Ann... I just must point out that the 'Warehouse', a.k.a. 'The Big Red Shed' is a chain of department stores here in NZ, that sell tat at cheap prices - slogan 'The Warehouse/the warehouse/where everyone gets a bargain!
> Dear Friends,

been making Xmas decorations here at work (I didn't want to, honest, but they bribed me by saying I didn't have to answer the phones whilst I did it)
sadly I can't cut in a straight line, paint in a straight line, or do anything else right
they are going to be c**p

Edward the Bonobo - Gone. Posted Dec 8, 2004
At least there has been one recent, positive Christmas innovation: the appearance in UK cities of German Christmas markets. Glühwein a-go-go!
Unfortunately, they don't do the pyrotechnic 'Feuerzangenbowle' (see A667857) - nor the rum-laced hot chocolate, which is the only beverage I know that is named after an African socialist revolutionary (Lumumba - after Patrice).
Ich wünsche Ihnen 'Frohe Weihnacheten!'

Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Posted Dec 10, 2004
Huh?
My mum decided in my second last week of school at 11pm on a Thursday night to set up the christmas tree. Which I was not happy about the next night seeing as I was away on a venturer camp where pretty much no one sleeps, and I was already tired!
I did, however, survive (except for when I popped my shoulder out, but that's another story...)
Anyway...
Lalalala...
