Well I've been yikesed for the first time.
1 of the poems in my Poetry journal entry and the whole journal entry has disappeared and I've had the usual E-Mail.
Can't help wondering who would do that and if it has anything to do with a certain person on the George Bush - Moron or Hero thread who has been yiksed (not by me) numerous times?

I'm not really here Posted Sep 12, 2004
Was it one of your own poems? If not, it could have just been a passing Researcher who saw it and thought it broke the copyright rules. <./>HouseRules-Copyright</.> Don't forget as a self-moderating site, lots of people will hit the complaints button if they see things that are against the rules. Most of the time it's nothing personal, so don't feel as if someone is out to get you.

Re: what Ideno said, right, it may very well not be personal. Also it is my understanding that everything here is moderated (meaning someone looks at it) but things that are ed just get looked at faster.

I've been yikesed and/or edited several times now, for posting poetry and taboo words. The moderators seem pretty good at spotting these things without any help, so it's probably someone just doing their job in your case.
Some of their decisions are questionable, mind. But funny. Having had some of my swear words edited, I wrote a very carefully phrased journal entry (okay, rant) about taboo words, using only words one hears on daytime TV. The moderators edited it anyway.

I'm probably just being paranoid
It probably did break the rules on copyright but I've never had a poem yikesed before or seen 1 yikesed .
I'll have to do something about the 1 at the top of my personal space. I do have the authors permission to use that 1 but the BBC haven't been notified of that.

the author has said I can use it but I might have to get him to confirm that to the BBC and hes certainly not going to give the BBC copyright of it
you're right, maybe I should write some guide entries on poetry and stick in really long quotes

if it was a moderator they must've been really bored to be wandering around journal entries to find something to yikes
