Finally, I am back.
I have barely posted at h2g2 for five weeks, and since then my life has taken a dramatic change.
I thought I might as well post it on h2g2, since it was put in the paper and announced to my class at school (and so has probably spread around my year by now).
My dad passed away during the early hours of the 6th of December.
Long story, but I guess the lesson to be learned is: Do not catch a cold when you have no immune system due to chronic prolympoctic leukaemia and an allergy to antibiotics. You'll end up with pneumonia.

Oh honey, I'm so sorry.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I know there's nothing I can do or say, but if you need someone to talk to or anything - I'll be there.
(In spirit of course, that ocean is still too wide to swim!
