Power cut

We just had a power cut. 
.. suffice to say, laptops don't require mains power and neither do phone lines, so 20 minutes without mains power did me no harm (apart from the fact that my mp3 collection is now on a 120gb firewire hdd ).. 
.. I think I must have been the onle person in the area who spent the duration of said powercut on the internet.

..you will be pleased to know..that windows, aol 8.0 (grr), my cable modem, the soundcard, *and* the video card are all working simultaneously *crosses fingers and waits for the croaking sound that indicates an imminent crash :P*
Still have the problem however, of the Mystery of the 2 gig drives.
