Thanks for the kind wishes. Today started off well and I took the dog out for a long walk this afternoon. I have now become a bit achy and I've started to cough a bit.

Yes, Bel, I am in quarantine! I have to sleep in the spare room. My wife was told that as she is on anti cancer drugs they reduce her immune system. If I get any worse they will give her Tamiflu (or some such thing).

I'll keep my fingers crossed that your wife won't get infected.

I'm sure she'll be fine. She's bought herself a ten foot bargepole to keep me at a distance and trained the dog to bite me if I don't wash my hands.

The dog wouldn't be well advised to bite you, though.

Tsk, I was only looking for a reason to keep you safe from dog bites.

And there was me thinking that you didn't want me to poison the dog!

I read somewhere that you should stay away from pigs, of all things.

If they catch this strain then it will develop into something far more virulent.

Sidling up to pigs is something I avoid - unless they have already been cut up into thin strips, grilled and served with eggs.

Aside: I was awoken by the noise of a fly buzzing round my face this morning. Then when I was fully awake I realised that it wasn't a fly but the sound of my breathing!

virtually gone now - just a bit chesty. Back to work on Monday, I think.

Good question. They are so overworked I'll have to look online rather than phone again.
