Conversely, if you didn't understand, then you would overlook the under-qualification that may arise because of overstanding, and simply undertake to try not to over-emphasize the understanding that you don't have. Or something like that.

Errmmm I'm really really sorry for starting this. It wasn't my fault you know. I just thought "Hey this would be a good thing to write". I mean it don't mean that much, just some ramblings. I heard it somewhere and even though I couldn't remember it well I nearly got it right.... mumble, mumble, mumble
