The gas company came by and left a notice. They shut off the gas because the serviceman came by to check for leaks and no one was there.

The health department has shut the pub down merely on the threat that there might have been flooding or power cuts...

I live not far away and I could tell by the ice cubes in our freezer that the power couldn't have been off long enough to cause spoilage...
