And I discovered that you are quite new to this community - so wellcome
My page doesn't say much about me.
I'm 53, F, Danish, freelance journalist and my youngest child is your age. My oldest will be 33 in two weeks.

Ohhhh. Thats cool. I looked up his site gonna go look up that link......Wow, pretty cool person
Sounds like a good friend.
So, you said you were a freelance journalist? What type of stuff do you like to write about best?
Guess i should intoduce myself...
tartaronne Posted Apr 7, 2006
He is a very good friend - and has a sense of humour. (But don't almost everybody on this site
Freelance journalism - I mostly write about social politics and the work with the 'stigmatised': physically and mentally handicapped, drugaddicts, kids who have to live away from home because their parents cannot take care of them etc.
What do you do? Except *not* taking a driver's license . In this country you have to be 18 to be allowed to drive a car.

Wow, thats sounds interesting, seriously.
*laughs* Well, not much...Finished school bout an hour ago (do you have homeschooling were you live? I have a friend in i think Belgium, and he said that they did't have homeschooling) and am now cleaning the house (least im supposed to be cleaning the house ) As of right now in this season, i ride ATV, hangout with my awesome friends
...have you heard of a online game called Runescape? Anyways, i play that...
ummm...hmmm...last summer i cleaned cabins for work, but i dont know what im doing this summer for work. Ummm...hmmm yesterday, with some of my friends I raked a lady's yard (she has a huge yard and she's creepy lol)..oh, yeah, we did it for charity *ouch*.
oops, i kinda wrote alot. Sorry. o, one more thing, I like to draw, but it not like i sit down i decide to draw something.. it's just, like when i'm doing school, i start doodling and it turnes into something, pretty cool.

I suppose home schooling is possible in this country, but I've never heard of it in practise. And in my opinion it neglects teaching skills like social behavior and cooperation with people from all walks of life - and democracy.
How can a child become tolerant, openminded and creative - wise - if he or she does not meet, cooperate with and listen to children from families and cultures different from their own, I wonder?
I think we have a very good schoolsystem in Denmark compared to other countries.
I don't understand 'ride ATV?'
Friends, they're the best a person can have. .
I don't play games on PC or online - except solitary, if that counts, but my son plays - mostly Counter Strike. I'm probably too slow in learning and in action anyway. I play with words - with my friends here on h2g2. - and on my knees with my grandson almost 4 - with cars, bricks, pirates, dinosaurs etc...I really enjoy that. The most amazing stories we get out of it.
Drawing is good for the imagination, hand eye coordination and expressing yourself (as is playing music, dancing, acting and so on) - enjoy and keep it up. In a certain part of Italy they employ artists to educate kids under the motto: Children have a thousand languages - why only teach them one?
My dad was an artist painter and he claimed that if you're not carefull, kindergarden, school and other adults will stiffle a child's creative ability for making fantastic pictures. Small kids have a very good natural sense of colours and shapes - but can easily be ruined by teaching and set rules.
I go on and on ...
But now I'll to bed. It is 23.50 in this part of the world.
See you

Oh, and I've made you a friend.
Feel wellcome to join some of the conversations I talk part in. You'll find them on my PS.
The regulars are mostly from 35 and up - and sometimes the conversation takes a path not quite proper for a family site. All good humoured, of course. Perhaps lurk for a while (subscribe without talking). In the 'sauna' and 'outdoor bar' we are an international mix of people - Estonia, Denmark, Netherlands, Britain. We are also members of the Nordic Researchers Club. A614567. I think USians have geographical clubs as well.
Oh, and Azahar has a photoalbum with researchers - there is a link in the first post. You will finde me there in different photos: F119314?thread=421977&skip=0&show=20

Hey
If you get this before you go to bed "good night" And if you get it tomorrow morning "good morning"
I agree with what you are saying. Three years ago, our neighborhood started a private school. So, i've been going to that, but this year, i'm going to an online school. It's really cool. Its like a public school, but your doing it through the interent. There's different sessions during week where in each class the teachers and students can get togwther in a "virtual" classroom. It's really awesome, plus, i'm able to take different courses which i wouldn't have been able to take. so thats pretty cool.
Oh, um...ATV= All terrain vehicle, you know, a four wheeler?
I agree with you on that. They have helped me so many times.
Thats cool you play with your grandson like that. Alot of families don't do that anymore. It's sad. Family life doesn't mean as much as it used to.
I agree with you on art. It helps me to think. (When i was going to the private school, my teachers (specially my English teacher) hated when I doodled) So many times am i suprised to to what awesome drawings little kids have done. It's amazing. Couple weeks ago a friend e-mailed me a link to a site that had a twelve year-old's art on it...it was amazing.
Oops..look at me...im writing too much .
Wow! It's 5:15p.m. here..ummm...17.15 i think that's how you would write it, right?
Well, i'd better go. Nice talking to your.
Good morning or Good Night!

Re: Post 14 - maybe you didn't see that? (We were simulposting).
One of the reseachers, azahar, has composed a photoalbum of the members of this community - a few of them. In post 14 in this conversation there is a link to the thread in which she tells about the album - and in there is a link to the album.
Different researchers have sent photos for her to put up, and on page 10-12 and 24 you can find me (and my grandson). I like to browse through it now and again to see, if anybody I 'talk' to is pictured there. Or just to be affirmed that it takes all kinds to form at community of internet wierdoes .
I've met several in real life allready. Very nice, intelligent, compassionate and funny people.
