I've got one weinie who gets their post yanked every time they respond to one of mine. They have a history of being moderated and hidden and they are still here.
You try to follow the rules and maintain a little dignity and....

I get so tired of the little ,as Jeff Cooper calls them, hoplophobes around here. I've paid my NRA dues a time or two when they weren't being too commercial for me.
I bought the only subscription I've ever had to Robert K. Brown's little magazine after they almost went under with the lawsuit. I don't like him, but I didn't want him to go under.
So, if you are an ass, then that means the herd has only one stud.
Okay, maybe one and a half.

I wasn't even talking about here. I was talking about my personal life and at work. Everyone here is really nice. I even got a mufflewhump the other day. Purple Jenny and a few others have even come around and paid me a visit away from conversations about poitics.

The thing is, I will confront people about issues in other arenas. The latest thing has been getting messages from religous folks that imply that athiests are unpatriotic or that secular living causes terrorist attacks. Being an athiest, libertarian, and an advocate of secular government, I took offense and pointed out the error of their ways. I also hit reply to all to ensure that forwarded messages are answered wherever they wander.

I can be pretty harsh, especially when it comes to unsolicited e-mails and religion. Both of the recent messages were toned down a lot when I was editting them. They still provoked quite a reaction.

My wife says I'm being an ass. I say they were offenseive e-mails that deserved a vigorous response. If they hurt people's feelings and and embarasses them, then maybe they won't send me that crap any more.

I'm often pretty callous. I may be an ass, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Hell, I've even tackled the preacher for being a little too 'middle class'. I cancelled my membership in the NRA once because they kept letting insurance idjits and commorative gewgaw sellers put me on their mailing lists.
My wife told some idiot at work our email address and now my box is filled with 'inspirational' crap with forty-foot address lists attached every morning. I just delete them when I get them now.
Patriotism was an easy thing when you just called everyone who disagreed with you a 'Tory'.
As I said in the American-hater's threads, I'm still not sure that Bin Laden did it. It was too easy for them to come up with a name so soon after telling us it was such an unexpected surprise.
My father is a libertarian.
I'm just anti-bureaucrat. Some of the desk jockey stuff the gummint pays people to sit in $40,000,000 buildings to do can be done at home on a couch by some schmuck in his underwear.
Anyone who calls atheists unpatriotic needs a subscription to the Ayatollah's Newsletter. They have probably never read any Mark Twain or Benjamin Franklin or Will Rogers. Or, for that matter, Gypsy Rose Lee. Sometimes you get what you pay for and a belief system that costs you nothing is probably worth it. Personally, I believe that God is not Stupid. This offends fundamentalists because I am implying that they might be.
As I've often said,"Anyone who says they understand the Bible hasn't read it much. Anyone who says they don't understand the Bible has probably spent a lifetime studying it."
If people know where you stand, they won't spend so much time trying to sit on you.
