Yes, I was one of the lucky few who managed to buy a Playstation 2 on launch day (October 26). And very lucky I was, since I only had to wait in line for twenty minutes to get one, behind people who had been in line all night long (they had sleeping bags, lawn furniture, the whole bit).

I'm still pinching myself.

Well, I never understood the appeal of this sort of thing - but obviously plenty of you do - the UK release has sold out right up to Christmas, with (as far as I know) no intention to import any more unitl the new year. Plenty of disappointed kids, and even more publicity.

So, you lucky man, what's all the fuss about?

Actually, I have seen a couple of places that have received second shipments of PS2s. They sold out pretty quickly, though.

Which brings me to me, a lucky man, indeed. On the other hand, there aren't a lot of good games out for the PS2 at the moment. In fact, by the time some decent games come out for it, everybody will have a PS2. Dammit, what was I thinking?

I'd rather waste my time around here, entertaining the Balwyniti carousing weevils...

Ah, a man who knows how to spend quality time . There's not much better than mingling with the weevil brethren.. Nut you never know, Nick, one day they may release a top-quality weevil-related PS2 game, and then, blimey, imagine the potential

Well, I have a cold, I'm stuck at home, so I've been here rather frequently of late. Mucjed about with my page, added a new feature to the church page....

...perhaps it is a good thing that there is not a PS2 game featuring weevils prominentlym such as a first-coleopterid-view shooter or something like that. Mind you, it would have to end eventually, sad to say.

i don't point out typos to Frizz much anymore. She always yells at me and hits me a lot when I do.

Thanks chaps - I appear to be getting a really bad press here. I'm not really a totally pedantic bitch or even slightly violent.

The level of typos/fury of reaction to correction of typos generally relates to plonk consumption levels. Last night however, plonk was consumed in sufficient quantities to make turning the pc on a big enough challenge, so I couldn't react to these libellous comments earlier.

Hope you're feeling better Nick - although the bit about you not being very well may have been in another forum - bit fuzzy this morning (Fuzzychick - the hungover version of Frizzychick?)
