Away Down the Road for a Bit of an Adventure

... in other words, I'm going to be offline for a couple of weeks.
Well ... I might get the chance to pop in for a bit, but probably not and it would only be along the lines of "Helloooo! " anyway.
So, everybody take of themselves I hope I shall have something a bit more exciting by way of a journal entry when I get back.

Aha. I see. I leave for a while and get all that attention and then all of a sudden other people decide they need to 'go away for a few weeks'. Pure coincidence, I'm sure. Hmpf.
Have a great time Trin, see you when you get back!

Hellooooo!!!
I have returned from my adventure - which was, basically, visiting my sister and inspecting my new nephew, getting bossed around by my two-year-old niece, eating wildly (including at IHOP - yessss!!!) and generally having a good but exhausting time.
I have gifts.
This is for Vestie *Stick of Rock with 'Greetings from Philadelphia Airport' written through it*
This is for Lady P *Supposedly brand new apron with 'IHOP' crossed out and 'HHH Hotel Bar' written in crayon*
This is for Yuvi *Bottle of lemonade with label testifying to the fact that it has been specially trampled out by spectacled bears*
And this is for Lil *Bottle of Blueberry Wine made by Monks in Annapolis* Seemed suitably exotic: never seen blueberry wine before - a little goes a long way, so I'm told. And don't spill any on your clothes. Or your hands.
This is for Vix *Ice pack with strap to fit it over the ears and dangle over lower face* It's a chin-chiller, because I saw ... *Has another, closer look at Vix's PS* Ah - well, I also got you a bird table (All hail the Chinchilla god!).
This is for Kea *Framed picture of happy badgers gambolling with a 'Thankyou' and a few pawprints in the bottom right-hand corner* Thanks for checking on them.
This is for Hellie *Large feather duster, except that it has 'Moth-Away' written on the handle* Not sure how effective it will be, though - they may just giggle and keep coming back.
This is for BC *Vaguely comfy British Airways Neck Cushion* Because I don't know how your insomnia's going.
This is for RF *Book on Wolves of North America* It's in the index, under 'Big Bad'.
And this is for Arisz *A slice of British Airways as served at two in the morning on Transatlantic flights* Base is a bit soggy - thought that could go in the
museum *Produces proper
* That one's for eating though.
And this is for Footie *Hand-made Talisman to help de-Bob computers*
There's also for anyone who wants any. Oh and Peanut Butter Fudge milkshakes.
Er ... I realise it looks as though I got all this at the airport just before I left ... but that is definitely NOT the case.
Right then. So, how ...
*Massive Jetlag Crashout*

Lot's of stuff. I'm getting ready to post a journal entry about my latest crisis but it's not ready yet. I haven't seen Kea in several days and Footbacon seems to have gone missing.
Haven't seen her in weeks. Maybe her computer's
. I suggested we blog up your space while you were gone but that went nowhere.
Things have been a bit slow on some threads with out you. But you're back!

Maybe Kea has run away with the badgers As for Footie, I went to her PS and saw how long it had been since she posted
I saw a really HUGE flant while I was over there (my brother-in-law said it was probably a cicada, but it was definitely flant-ish).
I do have a fair amount of blog Shouldn't take longer than the weekend to deal with.
Yes, I was closer to you geographically - but further away hootooically *Makes wavy gesture in front of face to suggest mystical paradox* Have to blame my niece for that: I thought before I went I'd be pretty busy, but I hadn't completely realised how strict she'd be about playtime - if you even look like you're sneaking off to do something vaguely adulty, she points and shouts ('Oi! You! Here!')
