Hi Ginger,
God the first ever h2g2 meet - that seems such a long time ago! You bought the rounders stuff and met your husband to be! Great day!

And Jordan,
Guide-writer extraordinaire - thanks for all your hard-work - and the rest of you actually - you all do such a great job here. Look after the italics for me, give them a cuddle from time to time!

Dear Peta,
I have just come across this message by mistake- so to speak.
I am sad you are leaving, but thrilled that you have got such a marvellous opportunity.
I wish you every success and hope that someday our paths may cross.
With all good wishes for your future.
I had not realised that you had actually worked with Douglas Adams.
Have you written about this period.? I never had the good fortune to be around when he was alive. I have laughed myself silly at his writings.
So I wish you well on your new and exciting journey.
I have come back with yet another run-name, this time I shall not forget it as I have called myself after my birthday which I celebrated on the 23rd May 2008 when I turned 80 years old. I cannot believe it, and actually, although I am still in my wheelchair feel so much better.
It just shows you what nice fresh sea air does to one.
So, au revoir, and thank you for all that you have done for this marvellous website.
Christiane

Hi AlsoRan,
Thank you for visiting this thread, and thank you - it's lovely to see you again, I remember meeting you at one of the meet-ups in the park!
I haven't written about the Douglas Days, maybe I should, I have so many fond memories of those days, it was a really exciting, interesting and I have to say wacky place to work!
I'm glad you feel better - I hope I'm as active and cheery as you when I hit eighty!
There are a couple of older ladies over on Points of View - I'll post a link if I can find it - there's lovely people and I'm sure they'd love to meet another silver-surfer, I'll post a link.

Hi AlsoRan80,
I am GoldenGirl and (after a lot of messing about, on my part), I have finally found this thread. I am really not sure about what I am doing on here!!
I am a 77 year old from the POV board and I am very pleased to meet you. I expect I'll get used to this new thread - given time!!
When I get a bit more confidence in what I am doing, I will add your name to my list of contacts.

Hello AlsoRan.
Peta has introduced me to you via Points of View. I am 77 and haven't been to this site before, but I thought I would say hello to you.
I am also sad Peta is leaving, but obviously pleased she is moving on to something which excites her. Wherever she is going, they will soon find she is a diamond. GoldenGirl and I couldn't believe she has opened a thread just for us, to lead us to you.
love, Lilian'sgirl.

Boing!!!
Peta, I have just realised when I looked to see my message to AlsoRan, that I am on your own thread, and I have written about you in the third person. I must try harder, but once again I will say to you....Thanks for all your help, and good luck.
