Mark walked from Land's End to John o'Groats!
Peta Started conversation Aug 3, 2003
Mark Moxon, our Ex-Editor, has just completed his walk from Land's End in Cornwall, to John o'Groats at the tip of Scotland. He rang me about an hour ago to say he'd arrived.
He's had lots of blisters and really sore feet, been rained on and chased by bulls and dogs. But I think he enjoyed it really!
He won't be back in London for a few days yet, but he'll probably pop online to say hi when he gets back.
Well done that man! It's a very, very long way to walk!

Hmmm, I thought that he maybe would be finished at the first of August. Almost.
Congratulations Mark with both walk and birthday!

I think he's planning to have quite a few later today!
He's with another Land's End walker, they've been leapfrogging around each other all up the country. They'll be out celebrating tonight for sure.

"Now he can enjoy a few s"????
What? This IS Mark Moxon we're talking about isn't it???
What do you think he's actually been doing the last few months... He's been indulging himself on the country's longest pub-crawl!
Time for him to come home and dry out I'd have thought
Congratulations anyway Mark (If he's in a fit state to read this )

Hiya!
Mark walked 1111 miles in 89 days. He got home yesterday afternoon.
I don't know if he knows how many pubs he visited on the way, but he says he really doesn't want to have any more pub food for quite a while . Still, at least he didn't have to do any washing-up for three months either.

Cor, it's good to be home...
Thanks for all the nice messages. You never know, I might actually get round to being sociable now; I didn't exactly come across many internet cafes out there in the countryside...
