I broke a duck today and went to the local blues jam, Les Paul in hand, with the full intention of playing in front of people and entertaining them. Seemingly I did too, even my singing was accepted and welcomed. I used to do this all the time (once a week for 4 years with my own band) but stopped for reasons I now don't remember, let alone understand. It was great, I met old friends, talked, joked and drank. I think I'll do it again next week too

Yeah I did, but for some reason, when I turned up the midrange control on the amp I was using the treble disappeared (
) so I had a muffled tone. Still I think I played OK

I bet you really enjoyed it despite the nerves jangling
I had a mate when I worked in Aberdeen, who was mad about playing the guitar, thats all he ever talked about We had never heard him play so we took all his stories with a pinck of salt
Then one Saturday night we went along to a jamming session, and he pulled out this Fender guitar!! which was a very rare model, but thats not all, when he started to play it, our mouthes just fell open He was great!!!
He played Hendrix, Garry Moore and the like, it was a fantastic night and I will never forget it
