why so great then zoe ..tell!
and all hallows eve is the christianised name btw(fter they stuck all saints day next to it to remove some of the pagan connotations) ..it was originaly called Samhain (pronounced sa-ween)which means summers end. its also the wiccan new year , and the festival of the dead

Jason vorhees? Ohhh-kay ...whats wrong with Magenta? or morticia/wednesday Addams, or a vampiress or ..something vaguely feminine? 'everyone' goes as jason or freedy anyway as a rule.. my mate went as the devil one year..or her take on it anyway..little red silky nighty thing with a tail stiched on, silky horns on a band n a red shiny handbag..with her black curly hair n a bit of eye make up it loooked fantastic
It was a guy called Steve who won though as usual.. he turned up as a corpse complete with coffin (it cut off at his kness)

that sounds cool. as for everyone goes as freddy or jason...last years fancy dress consisted of 12 devils<almost all women), 5 witches (and one particularly sexy outfit was worn by one particularly sexy babe
), 3 vampires(i was one) and 1 skeleton.
so this year i will make sure the costumes look like they've been thought about

Just outta curiosity, where did the thing come from about Hallo'ween been evil n stuff?
Spiders..............
creachy Posted Oct 3, 2003
in tight Lycra
it was probably born of the christian fear for it being the festival of the dead in pagan tradition. it was never evil but those soft, innocent little monogonist minds couldn't understand it.

The way Nat did the devil (the one i was just saying about) was very sexy
Theres nothing evil about halloween at all missy..but some are superstitious. Its the night the veil betwen the worlds is thinnest and the dead(their sprits at least) can walk among us and come back to visit their loved ones. its traditional to leave food out for them..or set an extra place at the dinner table that night..but some people who were frightened by the idea would dress up in masks etc to scare them away.

What about tight lycra
I always thought they dressed up so that the spirits didn't take them away or something like that, can't remember now, yeah i know it aint evil, but like you said superstition n that.
Im gonna try and get to go on a weekend thing at a haunted place...they do a thingy at midnight...bet its a load of bull
