Nah, they're deny me the new equipment I need...
"Here's four computers for you that you asked for, we moved them from the Breccia office. Monitors and keyboards for them? No, you can't have any of those."

I wasn't suprised. More shocked that she had the gall to sit there behind a £2500 laptop and tell me I couldn't have any monitors. She doesn't need a laptop, let alone a top of the range teeny travel one.

Ah, but as you say, she's an accountant, and therefore can't complain if the IT department redistribute the equipment to the more needy(worthy)

Ah, not me no. But, my boss in marketing does need a travel laptop for her international jaunts, which would then leave her top range vaio with stupidly large screen available...

I have to make do with a P3 and 128MB RAM running NT4 for Illustrator & Photoshop at work
I lose about 45minutes a night just waiting for programs to load!

All our references are in PDF format too (we have dual monitors) - can't open Acrobat Reader, P/Shop & Illustrator together! Bit of a juggling act
