... the first baby to be born within my friend group! Baby Edward is 2 1/2 weeks old, cute as anything, and farts a lot.
He came over to my house last night to meet uncles Tom and Dan (not strictly uncles as neither myself or Dan are related to Chris or Susi, but we're honorary uncles nevertheless )
I was especially happy as, having been passed to me from Dan where he was grizzling a lot, he settled down and only made a couple of threats to start crying.
Such a tiny little human... made by friends of mine!

Still don't want one of my own, though. It'snice to have one to 'borrow' every no and then, and hand back when it's trousers start to feel warm...

My general limit is that I can happily deal with something once it's over 2, and anything very young I generally avoid.
But bless, and good luck to the family...The first few months are hardest.

I like things up until the point where they can answer back, then I just find something else to play with.
They're making a good go of it. It wasn't exactly conceived under ideal cirumstances, but Chris has a job now, and they both seem to be coping very well.

AS far as I'm concerned, the answering back is the best part. And the having been potty trained is also pretty good
Best of luck to them!

The bit that's worse than when they have to have their nappies changed, is the bit where you have to accompany them to the toilet...
I shall pass it on...

There are parts of our own selves that cannot grow and mature until we are parents (in all seriousness). Sure its a pain in the arse but well worth it in the long run.

Ahh, baby Edward sounds sweet. Tiny babies fascinate me, I can never quite get over those teeny teeny little hands and feet and even teenier finger nails. I'm with Tom on this one, I like them when they are babies but I'm not so keen once they get past two or three.
I can remember seeing my friend Judy's eldest child for the first time when he was a week old - he will be 18 next month , and I still haven't got around to having any kids of my own.
I seem to be honourary aunt to no end of children, I currently send Christmas gifts to seven different kids belonging to three different friends.

Aaaaw, babies are cute . I didn't mind changing the twin's nappies at all, though it was a little annoying when they were sick down the inside of my school uniform
Hard to believe they'll be 11 next week

Ah yes! I can now buy christmas presents or kids again! Cool!
We were talking about Christmas last night, in relation to Ned- Chris (daddy) was saying how it was going to be a cheap christmas as Ned's socks aren't very big yet
