I was stepping intot the shower and i thought, people say that the universe is all that there is but what if it isnt, what if the universe is just another name for a space like solar system or galaxy and we are just another universe among millions floating around in space next to each other like galaxies

I used to think about that, when I was in the bath.
Now I think "What can I make for tea" or "What's on tv tonight?"
Your journals remind me of me when I was 15.
"Head in the clouds" my form teacher used to say, but he was wrong.
It was MUCH higher than that.
They never taught astronomy at my school, back in the 60's. I had to teach myself all about the Solar System and sneak downstairs after my parents went to bed to watch "The Sky at Night" and the moon landing.
I taught my children about the planets when they were little...they still don't teach astronomy in British schools.
I am interested in your "parallel universe" musings, because I am a Star Trek fan and also loved "Sliders" I also muse on the same "what ifs".
I often say things like "In another Universe, I'd be doing this, that or whatever...."
That girl whom Jodie Foster portrays in "Contact" {the film, the book was written by Carl Sagan} - I even wrote "that's me in another life" on my seti@home profile...

There are astonomers and there are astronauts.
Which one are you?
Would you blast off into space and into the vast unknown like John Crichton in Farscape?
Or be content to gaze down a lens and wonder...?

The thing i found really interesting was i was reading a brief history of time by stephen hawking and he had the exact same theory in there as me, theres more than one universe
